You are obviously reading my post completely different to how I am.
There is no personal comment in my post at all. If I'd called YOU Stupid that would be personal but I didn't. I called this word game Stupid, which it is. Not sure what the Wizz kids winding you up has anything to do with this thread. Yes I am deadly serious - if you want to read the rules in your own little way that is Up to you. I'm sure you are adult enough to know exactly what is meant. either you are getting perverse enjoyment from having this type of debate or you honestly don't understand what I would consider a simple set of rules. Now this thread seems to have gone away from the original complaint. Which from looking at the beginning was that your Visa thread isn't included in the list of official threads. I take it this is still the issue or has it changed now ?

As you said earlier jj.
I agree, surely something as important as whether you can enter a country or not should be dealt with by the official sites. Directing people through the correct channels is all any of us can do surely? We can all give advice on the best places to stay/eat/visit, but at the end of the day if this advice turns out not to be correct, all is not lost. The wrong advice regarding visas could lead to somebody being turned away at the airport. Paula

Why Lock it JJ ?
If people want advice then they can post and ask questions as always. It's only you that seems to have this thing about them not being able to ask questions I don't see your point.

This is a thread that is going way off kilter here and turning into one person's battle against anyone who dares criticise.
Get the personal stuff off here and onto a PM. Keep to the point gents! |

My point is that the visa threads raise continuous controversy. Which in my opinion causes unnecessary confusion, when all we shoud do is point people in the direction of the official sites. Which, seems to be what Stu is trying to do. Paula

Just to let every one know I will be splitting this off from the first post at some point. I'd rather the first post be left clear to avoid confusion.

So if i haven't given the wrong advice - wheres all the confusion and controversy.
The rules are quite clear, i'll quote the US Embassy in London "Some travelers may not be eligible to enter the United States visa free under the VWP. These include people who have been arrested, even if the arrest did not result in a criminal conviction, those with criminal records. There should be no confusion and controversy with that. Now to go back to an early post by Stu - quote "no Offence JJ, but that thread as good as it is, is your interpretation of the official rules or copy of the official rules, and I'm sure it's very accurate, but I can't be certain of that, as I don't know the rules myself." So Stu maybe you could check the US Embassy website in London. Here i'll give you the link usembassy.uk/cons_new/visa/niv/vwp.html Is my thread accurate or not ? jj... |
