The rules are quite clear, i'll quote the US Embassy in London

"Some travelers may not be eligible to enter the United States visa free under the VWP. These include people who have been arrested, even if the arrest did not result in a criminal conviction, those with criminal records.

There should be no confusion and controversy with that.

jj...
No your right, there shouldn't be, but there often is strong disagreement from other dibbers, rightly or wrongly, who are we to say.

You can quote what you like as we all can, but who is to say that quote is the truth?

but that thread as good as it is, is your interpretation of the official rules or copy of the official rules, and I'm sure it's very accurate, but I can't be certain of that, as I don't know the rules myself."

Well Anne you above all know the facts are right. And if Stu ( which i can understand if hes busy ) would have been better checking them out first before making that comment.

And you also know Anne i contacted you several times with Visa updates ( requesting you lock threads behind me to stop debates )

JJ,
I still dont see your point...

My words you just quoted say exactly what they mean, I could spend a lot of time reading your thread and all the official threads but it's still not going to change anything!

Before making WHAT Comment JJ? for saying the truth? that I don't know if your post is accurate? Am I now to check every single one of your posts for accuracy? I don't think so..

I don't know if your thread is accurate or not - That is not the issue here and has never been the issue.

I am saying and have been all along, as do the new rules, that if someone wants advise on Visas or Visa waiver programme when it relates to convictions and or Arrests they seek official information from the official sites.

I'm at a total loss why you can't see that! it's very simple

so what is your point?
• Your thread no longer being stuck to the top of Trip Planning forum ?
• You think we are accusing you of having inaccuracies in your post.
• My rules are not written clear enough for you.
• There is a conspiracy against you.
• All of the above
• Something else?

I'm not sure whether I've missed the point on here but if old threads are staying then all the information you could ever need can already been found by searching visas anyway.

... or is Stu planning to delete all the old threads?

Well, let me put it another way. The only way anybody would know what you say is true, is by checking it out on the oficial website. So why don't we just cut out the middle man (so to speak) and get it straight from the horses mouth.

Getting the correct information directly from the official websites, which I think, but correct me if I am wrong, is one of the main reasons this thread was started.

Paula

p.s. Goodnight

mmmm can't quite see the problem then!

All the information anyone could possibly need regarding visas is on the Dibb. Easily found by searching "visas".
