Have done STC before with Alamo but only with Virgin Holidays who make you go to their own little hut in the garage.
Depends on the location... At Orlando Int, complete the OLCI and you're good to go straight to the airport.

At Sanford, you can complete the OLCI however you'd need to use the kiosks or visit the rental desk for your RA.

The kiosks are at mco, used them for years, just before you walk upto the alamo desks

When we arrived at the Alamo garage at Tampa with our barcode, the woman there said it was not enough to skip the counter. She wanted us to go back but I wasn’t having that and she finally agreed to do what she considered to be missing on her terminal in the garage. I think this must have been the credit card bit because the guy at the exit only wanted to see my driving licence before letting us go.

The same as if you contact them they will say you can't skip the counter unless you book direct with them. Nonsense.
I’m glad you’ve clarified that, I was going to ask in here about the kiosks because Ive been looking into how to sort OLCI and it does imply that you still need to visit the kiosks when arriving at the airport, so I can just bypass all that and head straight to find the car ?

If your talking about MCO I can only repeat my past experiences in post #44.

Do OLCI, never do separate STC process, print bar code and never go anywhere near the terminal desk. It's the card they swipe at the barrier that gets charged with stuff. Alamo have no interest in how you paid the UK company/broker.

Reading this thread there's obviously other ways of skipping the counter but my method has never let us down. From getting off the APM to driving out of the barrier sometimes less than 10 minutes.

Mick

Sis in law finds exiting Ft Myers garage fast/smooth with cc/dl details entered during OLCI/Skip. There's no right/wrong way re Skip, simply a choice.

Have a smashing time MH, don't do owt I wouldn't, there's some scope there kidda

Hey up MrT, I know you and Gadgey Mick say no need to complete Skip, but could completing blanks not covered by OLCI (cc etc), stop upsell as Skip shows conf/bar code with $0 to pay (bar petrol if buying via Alamo). Sil auto produces her dl, cc and Skip bar code confirmation at Fort Myers, she's off within seconds with no form of upsell.
Thanks for the good wishes, and I've used avis a few times before but I'm not the brightest tool in the box so I obviously did something wrong. It's just a bit annoying when I walked past the empty Avis desk at Tampa to the garage, and then get sent to the avis desk which by then has a small queue. Nothing major, but after a lng journey you just want to get to the villa.

Sis in law confirmed as OLCI and Skip is completed, at Fort Myers Out Kiosk she hands over her dl and paperwork, no cc or additional drivers dl's.
