Make sure you get covid cover

Make sure you get covid cover on your holiday cover to include the 14 days prior to your flight and whilst away.

We got ours with staysure.

This week I got the dreaded cough and did the test. Got the positive result back today

We started the 14 day self isolation on Monday as we kinda knew something wasn't right

All it takes is one sneeze in the wrong direction and your plans will be gone

We are not due to go until sept21 but just saying how quickly it comes on

Apart from really bad nusea the other symptoms have been similar to a bad cold.
We went to Florida a few years back and got really bad flu and was in bed for 10 days. The doctor said it affected us so bad as we had got a strain of flu from South America that we never encountered before. Thats why your immunity couldn't fight it very well ( same as them getting European flu)
My biggest worry would be covid mixed with a type of flu I had no resistance to.

Good luck Mike - thatís the message my mother got- my mum and dad thankfully made a swift and full recovery with incredibly minor symptoms, especially my dad. Like you they felt they had a bit of a cold and my mother had the cough- no nausea for them.
The quarantine has effected my Dad quite badly unfortunately, he still wonít get out of his car when he takes mum to the supermarket etc as heís frightened to death of infecting people, even though heís now 4 days outside of the quarantine period.Seems to have triggered his mental health issues again. Iím hoping he gets back into going out next week. The stricter lockdown measures were effecting him a bit before this and it seems to have been a step too far the quarantine on his mental health.
