One of my favourite memories is from our September 2023 trip. It was my 8 month old's first ever holiday and on our first morning in Magic Kingdom we headed straight to Journey of the Little Mermaid for his first ever ride. He was absolutely mesmerised by all the colours and loved it 🥰 so now that ride holds a special little place in my heart and will always take me back to his very first Disney trip.

So many but
My best memory is when I was chosen to be an “extra” on the Indiana Jones show.
I was wearing a bright lime green t shirt and knew they like that. Also I just went for it, shouting and waving ( my kids were mortified) I was picked. Had to sign a form to absolve Disney of any responsibility and that I would do as told lol. Had to laugh like Minnie and dance like I was on hot coals. So much fun , would love the chance to do it again . Edited at 08:28 PM. Reason: Spelling |

Excited about Disney

Funny memories of Disney land Paris about 20 years ago, we took our nephew not knowing he was woozy when it came to rides, he was 7 we finally manages to get him on the flying carpet ride ( I’m sure it was that and not dumbo) he wouldn’t let me touch the lever the whole ride so we as the only ones that circled the whole ride at the bottoms lol, we have never let him live it down, we now have a son who loves everything disney and always reminds his cousin that he’s been on all rides at Disney.

Probably from my favourite trip ever. Just Disney no other parks in 2010. My favourite memory was whilst trying to entertain my two boys whilst waiting for the parade a popcorn cart vendor tried to offer them a bag of popcorn each. I refused (politely) as assumed it would need paying for. He replied "It's on Mickey". My boys were confused afterwards. I let them know it was Disney magic...

I think mine has to be 2018, (a little back story will explain why) around 7 months before we were due to go to Florida my dad was taken ill with a stomach ache.it didn't seem like something bad. He wasn't ill. He didn't smoke or drink. He went to hospital that day and was in horrendous pain. He had to be moved to hdu and icu. He had severe onset pancreatitis. They told us his pancreas was necrotic and untreatable, and as his body thought it was dying, it began to go into organ failure. The doctor told us he wouldn't make it through the night.
However he did make it through, just. He spent 4 rocky months in icu. He had to learn to walk and talk again after a tracheotomy and loss of muscle mass. He spent a further month in hospital and came home to recover. He won't ever be well again and is on constant medication. The holiday was his aim. He talked about it and it gave him hope! Dibbing annd watching vlogs kept the boredom at bay. When we eventually got signed off for him to go we couldn't believe it. So my happiest moment is Arriving at Disney with him and seeing him realise he made it, was the most emotional and happy moment of our lives. Disney will forever and always be the happy place for us now, because that was real magic.

My favourite Disney memory was when we went on our first proper family Disney trip to Florida. Our eldest daughter was 13, who at home had started to go through the teenage eye rolling I’m too cool for this and to be seen with any of you phase, we were worried had we booked a 3 week holiday nightmare with a huffy teenager! Our first morning was a character breakfast at the Polynesian, no sooner had we sat down and Mickey appeared at our table wearing a red Hawaiian themed shirt, our youngest was super excited but a bit shy, our teenager grabbed her hand and leapt up embracing Mickey in a big hug beaming from ear to ear. 3 weeks flew by without an eye roll in sight, and lots of plans for a return trip the following year.

DH, DD1, DD2 & I have many fond memories of many trips to Disneyworld & Disneyland Paris but probably the one that sticks in the mind most was when we were picked to be in the Jammin Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom.
We we eating breakfast at Tusker House when a chap joined our table and offered us the opportunity to see the best view of the parade. I rebuffed him at first saying that I knew a good spot to view it! Later on we were kitted out in Jungle waistcoats and jungle hats with Mickey ears and rode on the purple tiger float whose paws clawed out as we moved along. I can’t remember which year it was as but clearly some time ago since the parade was cancelled in 2014 for the building of Avatar. |

Mt Favourite Disney Moment was when we took our DD there for her first time. She wanted to be a princess so we made that dream come true by a visit the the bippity boppity boutique in Disney springs.
After her hour of pampering and makeup she was so excited to see herself in the mirror at the final reveal. We then made our way to the parks where CM's all bowed and referred to our DD as your majesty. It still makes me smile today!.

My favourite memory is of our first trip to WDW when my daughter was 6 years old. We booked breakfast at Cape May Cafe as my daughter loved Minnie, but when we got there she became very shy and didn’t want to go in. A lovely CM noticed her and came over, had a quiet chat with her and then walked her over to Minnie to introduce her😀 She soon forgot her shyness and had a big hug with Minnie 🥰

One memory that sticks for me is when I (almost) got to be in the parade 😎
I was doing the Keys To The Kingdom tour and (after an amazing face to face encounter with the Maleficent float backstage) we got to walk part of the parade route behind the family of the day in their car. The crowd cheered us as we walked from Frontierland to the Liberty Belle, waving and grinning from ear to ear. That was very, very special and I have no idea how our guide managed to do it 😀 |
