4 do NYC - April 2015

So another holiday booked (our Florida countdown is at 27 days currently) We didn't intend to go to the USA twice in 6 months, but hey I am not complaining.

This trip is slightly different although as the title suggests there are 4 of us going.

This trip did come about by accident as the four off chatted about it one night in the pub ( I fully thought it wouldn't get mentioned again) A few weeks after I thought that i'd check some flights out and they came back at great prices so this got the ball rolling.

Anyway I better introduce the cast first

I found some amazing prices for flights and hotel on expedia.com coming in at around 750pp for 6nights, flying indirect BUT we would have to pay the full amount or a 70% deposit which didn't really work for all of us. I got in touch with a local travel agent and they found us a deal.

We went in yesterday to book which we finally did after an hour or so. We are flying indirect from Edinburgh and the first flight we were offered only had a 1hour turnaround (including changing terminal) which just won't work so he found some BA flights which where 25pp more but a much better time.

What did we book? Well we are flying from Edin via Heathrow on Monday the 6th of April for 6 nights staying at Hotel @ times square.

We have really thought about what we want to do when we are there as off yet

Great price and indirect is alright plus with ba you get the free booze! I was there a couple of weeks ago and had the best time ybut mega busy as they were doing a lot of construction in times square. I mainly stayed around Greenwich, meatpacking area having been there a good number of times but so many things to do! Plus there is lots of informative advice from fellow dibbers who have visited this wonderful city

unfortunately we paid a bit more as we had to book at travel agent so we could pay a deposit (annoying as i got a tax rebate so could have paid the full amount)

We ended up paying £949 which still is ok. Its bed and breakfast too.

I am really excited to start planning what were going to do but going to wait till we get back from Florida.

Saw you are going to Florida shortly, I believe We'll be down there at the same time. Seems like many people here on the DIBB are going in October.
