Dla
Hi, our son was diagnosed last thursday with high functioning Autism, we already have been claiming Dla for him for the last 5 years pre diagnosis... Do we need to contact them again to let them know about the diagnosis or not? ... As his needs havnt changed any? And what difference iff any it would make? Many thanks in advance x

No you don't need to let them know, it doesn't make any difference as his needs have not changed.

if you get tax credits you should let them know as you will get an extra premium

You get tax credits for getting DLA, which they have had for years. You don't get it for getting a new diagnosis.
