Is there a way to manually back up emails from outlook - not individually but as a whole?

From memory there is a setting in Outlook which either syncronises emails with the mail server (so if you delete them through a web browser they go through outlook to) or just downloads them (so if you delete them through a web browser it leaves them in outlook).
I think if you use IMAP and you delete your email from the web it deletes it from outlook too. If you are set up to use POP3 then deleting them from web email should leave them in outlook (but may be wrong). This is one of those settings you normally setup once and then forget about it. I suspect you may have IMAP set. When we used to get our internet connection through BT I used to have a BT email address but we moved away from them ages ago. I think if you don't access your BT email for a long time there can delete the content-not sure how they tell you this is going to happen apart from via email! BB

Normally once an email is downloaded to outlook on the pc, it stays. We haven't deleted anything or changed anything. I'm hoping it is just some glitch but it's very annoying
