People have emailed Disney about this and its not true. They have received replies basically saying what the website says.

How and why would they refund it? Unless you can prove to Disney that you would have been using it during this time then you haven't lost anything.
Adding on the days to extend it is different

We were there when the parks closed and our holiday was cut short. We don't make the rules we are just applying for what WDW has put in place.

Im in this boat. AP expire september. Bought last year with the idea of using twice.

I guess disney can tell when the passes were used. That'd be nice if they worked out what I would have paid as, say a 21 day uk pass, then refunded the extra cost of the AP. (and let me keep the free parking I had!)

Got to ask. I missed two days for Hurricane Irma one year.

Got AP extended by Disney, free tickets from universal etc.

But you could have used your AP at anytime up to park closing, its not Disney's fault that you did not go then so basically you have used it then.
You don't see Sky or any subscription service refunding people for the days that they don't watch any Sky or use that service, it is still available for you to use, its the same principle.

We were there too and Disney told us (after an email and phone call) that notes would be made on our account and we would get an extension for 1/2 months starting on our next visit at any point this year (our passes ran out in april and we were staying on site so and had 5 days left so they knew we were using them)

I have just emailed to check if we can carry that offer over to next year if we are unable to fly.

Annual pass services had to put me through to Ticketing and they said note had been made, so hopefully they will make allowance for others who at least had bookings around the time there passes were about to expire.

Oh I agree but Disney are usually so good. They tend to make sure no-one loses out.

I do think they need to realise that for international AP holders, WDW re-opening is not the date that we can visit. Yeh not their fault but it will be out of character for them to say "Sorry tough luck".

If I can't go in Aug and use my AP a 2nd time, an extension to xmas is no good for me. I won't be able to rebook. Option will be 3 month refund. Won't work out well - will have paid 75% of an AP for one holiday.

Not WDWs fault of course but...

I am only going on what other peoples experience on other forums. Of course what one person gets is not necessarily the same as another person. It can also be up to who you get on the phone and what they can actually do.

Disney too could have tightened policy after some CM's were refunding some peoples.

Shame that you couldn't get a refund.

Actually Sky have temporarily suspended their Sky Sports subscriptions as there are no live sports available to watch during the current crisis.
