However there are so many variables in play (guest confidence, local area restrictions, wide entertainment closures and activity limits, out-of-state travel issues, lack of international visitors - not to mention the huge upsurge in the virus in the US anyway) that even the best predictions are little more than guesses at the moment anyway. And if they don't have any confirmed opening dates, they can't suddenly start selling rooms for January, April or July as that inherently implies an opening date must have been set.

Worst case? Remember that after 9-11 French Quarter was closed for a full year? And this situation

Was French Quarter shut after 9/11? I never realised that. We actually flew to the states 10 days after September 11th and did a tour and part of that was 3 nights at the then Dixie landings which was open. I can remember seeing the French quarter part but didn’t know it was shut.
I can remember sailing past FQ from Riverside to Downtown Disney about 6 months after 9/11 and although it was closed there were loads of lights on in the grounds and buildings to make it look as if it was open.

I ran quotes this morning - both BC & YC were showing as available for my Jul21 dates...fast forward to this evening, nothing. So this is earlier than the projected Aug dates they were meant to be available, but they are sold out already by the look of it?
