We also stayed at RPR in 2016 just over a week after Easter (i.e. just outside the peak prices). It cost us £210. So your £142 at Easter 2016 was a bit of a bargain.

Having said that I wouldn't have expected the price to be as high as £445. Looks like they're expecting Easter to be busy, at least at the moment.

BTW, I have no idea why people keep quoting prices for May/Aug/Oct/etc. Hotel prices are very seasonal and highly dependent on the date.

I agree. Hotel prices are just like flights - highly dependent on demand/season/school holidays

Mid August and January are the cheapest times to go to Universal imo if anyone is interested :-)

Well, the thread title does ask that, yes.

But the actual post makes it very clear that the OP is looking for a room at Easter time and even compares the current price they are seeing to when they last stayed at Easter back in 2016. They ask "Is this typical?" and "In 2016 Easter we paid £142 what has happened since then?".

They are asking for typical prices at Easter, not for prices in August, early September, July, etc. Those prices have no bearing whatsoever on Easter prices.

But maybe you're right and people are only reading the thread title and have not read the actual post?
