Absolutely - it’s personal choice. We love to have short stays at each, just to try them out. Boardwalk Villas are our favourite but that’s because of the location, we love to walk around the lake in the morning, pop into Epcot in the evenings, take the boat to Hollywood Studios. But it also has drawbacks - not everyone loves the clown pool, it’s a bit lacking in counter service. But there’s something about it that draws us back!

I have stayed at resorts near and far from the parks. It really doesn't make a big difference. You can hop on a bus from AKL and get to the parks easily. And while the MK resorts are good for the MK, they are not as close to other parks. Given you don't know what your kids will like, I am not sure I would choose a resort to be "close to" any of the parks.
AKL is close to the AK, which I think it a great park for little ones. Personally, I would look at which resorts give you what you need and what that resort costs. I have stayed at AKL more than other resorts, not because it is my favorite, but becauae I have been able to get it for a very reasonable price. |

Good point thank you. I guess I just assumed magic kingdom would be their favourite due to their ages and when we did dlp. All resorts look lovely which was why I was going with location haha

If considering AKL then I'd go for Jambo as the pool is better & was totally re-furbed 2 years ago, Kidani's is quite a bit smaller. There is loads to see & do at AKL, we have stayed in a Savannah room so wake up to the animals below your balcony but just a standard room this year.
SSR the paddock Area is a good choice, the Springs would be higher points wise as it's Preferred. The Paddock pool also has a kids interactive play area next to it. WL is also a good choice but Studios can be hard to get, Boulder Ridge are the "older" ones or Copper Creek for newer. SD

We love the BC but wouldn't spend £3700 0n 3 nights. Have you looked at the Disney Springs hotels - you still get the 60 day FP benefit and they're just over the road form DS.

We’ve stayed POFQ and the Beach Club. No way would I pay the price difference you are quoting just to avoid moving.
We’ve also stayed at the contemporary, yacht club, por, poly and AKl. If you don’t want to book pofq through the us site I’d suggest AKL, you will all be knackered and it’s such a beautiful chilled out resort and kids tend to adore the animals plus the pool is massive, you can also use the kidani pool as well with the brilliant splash area.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I have a super helpful dibber helping me with dvc, hoping for the poly but availability dropped already so just going to see what’s left when the 7 month date arrives

I just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone for all your help and advice. Today a lovely dibber booked blt for our last 4 nights (no poly which is a shame) so we will have 13 nights pofq with upgraded dining and 4 nights blt no dining.
Now to decide whether it’s worth the 160 to change to 21 day tickets or factor in some rest time
