Deposit paid for tickets, and suspended ticket sales
I won't be surprised if there isn't an answer to this, but...
Where you have tickets booked as part of a package (e.g. I chose to add them to my VH booking when they had a reasonable deal in Jan) or you've paid a deposit for tickets to an agent. Do you already have tickets? Or has the agent merely promised to supply you with tickets when the holiday is paid in full? And therefore the agents could find their allocation reduced so that they can't supply all of the tickets they took deposits for? I suppose the answer probably ties in to how Disney/Universal decide to treat the 14/21 day UK parkhopper tickets - I don't think there's been any info on that yet either? |

I’ve been wondering about this too. We’ve got tickets for Christmas with VH and know from previous visits that Virgin don’t buy any tickets until necessary.

I was having a ticket panic yesterday and I trawled various pages to find the answer to this as I wasn't keen on fully paying for them. The general consensus is that if your tickets are on MDE, they are issued. If not, they haven't been. Not sure if that's true or not.
I panicked and fully bought tickets direct just before they suspended them. |

I've been digging around since posting the question, and not found anything conclusive. Our tickets through VH certainly aren't showing in MDE, and when I bought them they said they would appear before our FP+ window. That leads me to believe that whether we have tickets now or not depends on the commercials between VH and the parks. I'd hope VH have a good enough relationship to get tickets for all their customers.

I've just managed to speak with Attraction Tickets Direct / AttractionTickets.com and they have said the tickets are not definitely secure - they are waiting for further info from disney and will be communicating next week. I suspect they don't actually buy them until balance is paid.

I had my tickets booked on deposit only and I was advised that they were getting further updates on Monday regarding UK tickets. I took the decision to pay in full and they are now on their way. Even after receipt if I cannot travel due to Covid I can return them and change them to 2021 by paying the increase in ticket price with no admin fees or loss of any money so I know I can do this as a last resort.
