Mobile Possible Disney ticket sales reopening for this year?

So we go in oct and have decided on a non Disney trip due to the restrictions! What’s people’s thoughts on tickets possibly coming back on sale if we are at a near normal by then?
I know we don’t have a crystal ball but if things are much better by then I’d be kicking myself that I can’t go.

TIA

Not a hope. If you don't have Walt Disney World tickets now, you wont get them for a trip in 2020. I'm following all the updates on Disboards and people are having ADR and Fastpasses cancelled for October and November trips. Disney is switching to a new system and severely limiting capacity for the rest of the year. They will not be selling any more tickets for 2020

Thanks for the response, I have deposits on Disney tickets and need to pay the balance in the next few days if we go. My husband says we don’t do Disney and loose the deposit but I’m torn. Arghh nightmare!

Hard to say in my opinion. Yes they're cancelling ADRs and FPs but that could just be to 'reset' the system so they can scale things back up when it's feasible to do so.
However, if you pay off your 2020 tickets and end up not using them you could return them for a refund if your booking agent allows this, otherwise they're valid til next September.

Does anyone know if I register my 14 day Disney tickets, then make reservations for park access For December, then for whatever reason can’t go, Could I just use my tickets summer next year. So simply by registering dates to enter the park will this classify as activating the tickets even if I don’t go in December. (I already have the December holiday booked)

Disney themselves have said in statement that they may be able to release tickets depending on capacity and if restrictions are eased. Granted, this may be unlikely by October but certainly not a definite.

If the reservation system works in the same way as fast passes, then your ticket is only activated when you physically go through the turnstile at the park.

What your stating isn’t fact at this stage. Disney have not categorically said that no more tickets will be sold for 2020. As with most cases with this virus it’s a ‘wait and see’ how things pan out at this point. I do hope people don’t lose money and cancel entire holidays only to find out they could have bought tickets for their holiday later down the line.

Exactly. The only people anyone should be listening to in this matter are Disney themselves.

I have no clue, but what I would say that's quite a long way away and anything could have changed by then, I am sure if Disney can increase capacity they will, they are a business after all, look how much things have changed in the last month. I would just keep checking.
