Turning 40 in Vegas
Hi my name is Kerry I am 38 and the trip organiser of my DH James' 40th birthday trip.
I went to Vegas when I was 17 but DH has never been, so he decided that he would like to go for his 40th this April. We have opted to leave the DD's 12 and 10 and home with grandparents and for the first time since becoming parents go solo! A bit stressed at the moment because our eldest DD has managed to break both her feet and is in 2 plastercasts so I am stressing about getting her back to full health before we go. Our plans so far are: 7th April travel to Gatwick stay overnight in the Marriott courtyard hotel and do twilight check in. 8th April 11.15 am flight to Las Vegas for 5 nights at the Luxor hotel 9th April - no set plans 10th April - Hubbys 40th - no set plans maybe wicked spoon? 11th April - maybe shopping at premium outlets - 9.30pm Matt Goss at Ceaser's palace (my treat) 12th April - Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley fight at MGM - (hubby's treat) 13th April - 16.50pm flight home - cuddle our girls We have not fixed to many plans due to our short visit we really just want to wander and explore, but things on our to do list are: shark reef Mandalay bay, the conservatory at the Bellagio and a must is m&m shopping for my youngest DD who wants m&m's with her name printed on! A bit anxious about leaving the girls but very excited about our trip Kerry |

I took my dh for his 40th and then we went back for mine! We also left our two children behind both times, and they enjoyed being spoilt!
Read some trip reports for some more ideas, that's what I did, then I wrote my own to try and help others plan too as I'd found them so valuable. You'll love Vegas, it's a great place |
