I think it's slightly cheaper if you buy the package online before you go aswell, rather than paying in the park.
I absolutely love photos, both taking them and looking at them- we will get a photo package when we go, I want these memories captured, and for once for me to be in the photo as I'm always the one taking it!

Many people do not carry a camera around any more, most modern phones can take excellent photos and this is what they are designed to do, ( They are not just a phone ) and the fact you can buy additional lenses to fit on phones ( Telephoto/wide angle/fisheye ) even tripods to stand them on makes them a very good choice.
We use a camera but on some days do not take it and use our phones.
I suppose its a case of personnel preference

I find a water proof camera is great for Discovery Cove. I took loads of photos when I was there last year including several under water when I did SeaVenture. Plus if something happens to my phone I still have something to take photos with But yes, definitely personal preference

It's a shame they don't do the DVD with the photo packages now. I still watch mine from last year

This covers the point I was going to make - It is just so expensive! Buy a cheap underwater disposable camera if needs be or be careful and use your mobile. It's these type of add ons which are just barmy yet folk feel obliged to buy them.

I take a waterproof camera to the water parks though I understand not everyone has those. I got some lovely photos at DC and TL last year and am taking it again with me next week

When I was there last year the only jewellery they allowed was a wedding ring and a waterproof watch. I can understand why - if someone was wearing earrings and one fell out then a fish/animal might swallow it. But this was last year. Why not phone or email them and see what they say.
