Nice surprise from BA

On the 14 January I requested a Future Travel Voucher from BA for our August trip (I made a new booking in the sale as it was Ł600 cheaper). Apart from the acknowledgment email, I hadn’t received any further update (the last voucher I requested arrived within a few days).

I phoned BA this morning (got straight through), and the adviser confirmed that a refund had been issued to my credit card on 18 January. Just checked my account, and it has been refunded!

Completely unexpected, as I was expecting a voucher. Well done BA - not sure if was an error, but I’m very happy.

OP that’s a pleasant surprise. Tbf BA have been awesome in returning funds to us for cancelled trips. Our 5th consecutive attempt for this coming Easter had the outbound flight cancelled today so I guess we’ll hope for 6th time lucky now in the summer?!🤞

I agree BA have been great. I had already had a voucher for our August 20 trip which I used for an April 21 trip.

I was going to request a voucher for our trip in December, but they advised that as the hotel was non- refundable, we’d lose our deposit - and to sit tight. We did, they amended the return flight and allowed us to have a refund.

We also bit the bullet on our April 21 trip, and requested a voucher for the deposit, which we got quite quickly. That’s 3 trips cancelled with no issues.

BA have been great through this. I spotted that our Xmas flights had dropped in price yesterday so a quick phone call and they changed them to the cheaper price and I’ve saved myself Ł1500. Any contact I’ve had with them this past year has been a pleasure.

We’ve always found BA really helpful and accommodating. We had to make changes to a booking a few years ago because of a hospitalisation and they went out of their way to help, even though they could easily have fallen back behind their terms and conditions.

I echo this, we had a group booking which they have extended to use the deposits on any flights until March 2022.
I have always had good service and will fly with anytime. I just wish their World Traveller Plus was a bit more enhanced like PE with Virgin. But would travel with them any day. I love their flight plus car hire being a holiday with only a deposit. Also love flying in and out of Tampa.

I changed my flights while the sale was on and they refunded the Ł500 pounds back to my cc. I then upgraded my car and that was cheaper too and they refunded that too. I had a voucher from last year, which I used for this years holiday. BA have been brilliant and the staff are always really nice and friendly.
