Gorgeous day in Harrogate yesterday, today Whitby .

Had a shopping trip in Harrogate and night away in a cosy pub. Spending the day in Whitby . Having a glass watching the world go by. Weather although cold it’s dry. This country has some beautiful places.

Ahhh, I know exactly where you are in that photo, ahh, not been to Whitby for a good while...
I'm a Yorkshire lass, and it used to be a regular day out.
We got married in Harrogate too, so that also has lovely memories.

Enjoy your tipple and have a great time in good old Yorkshire

Exiled tykes here and we used to live and work in Harrogate and often walked to work over the Stray.

Hope you're having some fish & chips in the Magpie in Whitby.

Mick

Controversial opinion but The Magpie is overrated, you need to try Trenchers.

My parents moved to Whitby 6 years ago, so we now go up fairly regularly, although growing up it was about 75-90 mins from home and we often just decided to drive over for tea.

I will agree here. Mick & Joan are correct, the ‘go to’ chippy was The Magpie but Trenchers on the roundabout is absolutely superb. (Although the prices are not Yorkshire friendly!)

As born and bred Yorkshire folk (now living ‘darn sarf’) we often go to Whitby when we come “home” to visit the parents.
