Yay, just got the text

At 5.15 I got a text to say book vacination. Straight into website, booked husband and I, seperate days, me tomorrow him on friday as we have builders in.

We are both above 65 but below 70, no predisposing factors so I'm really shocked it has come through so quickly. Maybe we are slot filling but that's fine.

I'm shocked but pleased.

Excellent news.

I'm 75 and had a phone call on our land line from our GP yesterday morning. Would I like to have my Covid jab on Friday afternoon? Does Judith Chalmers have a passport? I replied.

I then asked about Joan who's not 75 until June but the lady said sorry no - she's not on this list but hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

Then less than 30 minutes later Joan had a text asking if she'd like to book a jab on line - so she booked for Friday as well 10 minutes after me.

Having them at a central clinic which is actually closer than our GP.

I think we are fillers as they hadn't filled their clinic, our online choice was Thursday or Friday nothing next week. Because we have builders in we split up because we weren't going to say no thanks.

The online booking system was simple and efficient, so pleased I told surgery to put my mobile number on husbands details.

That’s excellent , I’m in the ecv group and still haven’t heard about mine , seems all areas are definatetly different in the way they are administering things m I can’t wait till I get the call, will be such a relief , after spending most of the year shielding

Great news!
I used the vaccination calculator that has been doing the rounds lately and was very surprised to see that I (almost 40) “may” be offered my first vaccine by May.
That has jumped forward massively, when I used it a few weeks ago it suggested September.
Here’s hoping!
