Distance to Disney

I see a lot of people asking for time or distance from Villas and it occurred to me is there a certain area of Disney that everyone uses for fair comparison? Its just that the entire Disney area is so big and you can travel miles and spend ages parking.

We have measured our driveway to the Disney Arch and we quote that. But I guess others use other markers?

Considering that a lot of people consider Magic Kingdom = Disney World then I would suggest measuring the distance to MK (or perhaps to the TTC)?

I suspect a lot of hotel and villa owners simply measure the distance from their hotel/villa to the closest edge of Disney property. Because that looks better and is not factually untrue.

Also, do people measure the distance in a straight line as the crow flies or travel distance on the roads?

We are totally upfront about our measuring (and a few owners on our resort have copied it I note) and no guest has ever disputed it. Before we bought we stayed very close to Disney property but it was a back wall and miles away from any entrance. The owner didn't claim it but I'm sure some would. In fact I know a few would.

I thought all villas were 15 minutes from Disney! They all seem to say they are.

Depends on how fast you drive after all hire cars are the fastest cars in the world.

I'm just joshing with you as you said "the Disney arch", which kinda implies there's just the one!
