When they moved the exams the final exam was meant to be the 2nd July with contingency papers if needed up till about the 16th July.

I could have predicted A level results would be the day we are due to go on holiday !

We are away too.
Feel really bad. My DD has lost out on so many life experiences this year. She is not going to like this one bit. Nor do I. May need to cancel but am waiting to see what Wales says on dates. Hopefully soon. 🤞 Edited at 08:16 AM. |

Luckily for us the 12th August is the day we get home if we get to go. Now wondering when they will finish school as grades need to be submitted by the 18th June.

I wonder if I am safe to book our holiday for 19th June ? I really hope school tell us end of term date quite soon because prices are rising and cottage availability is dwindling !
Is everyone happy with the decision today ? I think it is reasonable enough and I am confident that teachers will be fair to all. It’s an awful lot of extra work for the teachers though. |

Hopefully schools send a plan of dates out on Friday or next week. The finishing date makes little difference to me holiday wise but still would like to know.
