Busch gardens/Seaworld
Hello folks. We had disney in mind for this years (potential) florida trip but we’ve now decided against it (i think) We still have villa booking that was rolled from last year but I’m thinking of doing a longer stay at a universal hotel and slightly reducing villa days. How many days can we get out of seaworld and busch. Our kids have reached the magic height and love coasters. We don’t mind driving so getting to busch isn’t an issue.

I’m sure i’ll miss disney but we’ve been lucky to go 3 times and I think i’d rather wait until it were more magical again.

We normally do all of Universal over 2 days with Express passes from HRH, RPR or Portofino
Seaworld is usually 1 day (I would do more as it’s my favourite park) When doing Busch we like to do a night in Clearwater first

When we first started going to Florida we did sea world - think we went twice in our two week stay Busch also twice but loads of rides there so if the drive wasn’t an issue you could probably go more than that We liked aquatica which I presume you still get included with your tickets Easily go there a few times in the trip

Hmm just worried if we go for 3 weeks what we will actually do without Disney. I do love disney but it seems like it will just be too stressful this year. oh i just don’t know. 😬

We can do two days at sea world and 2 days at Busch sometimes 3 days at Busch
Universal again 2/3 days maybe more but we have annual passes so we tend to go fo3/4 hours to universal either in the morning or later in the day We don’t do water parks but if your ticket has them that can be another 2/3 days if that’s your thing Also so much more to do other than Disney Kennedy Space Centre ,beach day ,air boat ride , the kid friendly cycle tour round Celebration the state parks I honestly don’t think you’d miss Disney that much Why not look at Scottish Nellies trip reports she has done so many non park things And you can get coupons if you search for them |

There are loads of places to go instead of disney. It depends what you like to do though. Celebration for a bike ride.
A beach for a night or two Discovery Cove Legoland Kennedy space Centre I love universal and seaworld and would do shorter days and spend time by the pool just relaxing.

Thank you all. We’ve been to florida 3 times but have always had disney as a part of our trip. We’ve done lego land, Kennedy, St Augustine, boggy creek, celebration. The biggest issue with going in august is the heat. All day beach days and bike rides don’t appeal.
I think we’ll be ok. just spend more time at the pool and water parks and visit a few more of the springs. |

I wouldn’t worry. You can definitely ‘do’ some of these parks in 1 day if you need to (which most of us have to with time constraints of a holiday), but you won’t have seen it all and I find it’s nice to do the parks at a slower pace.
We have only ever done one day at Busch because we use the transport but I think if we had a car and three weeks to do universal, Seaworld and Busch we’d probably end up at Busch at least three times - I’d love to go there during the evening as we usually have to leave at 4pm-ish on the transport! Seaworld again I could go at least three times, maybe one full day and two half days, for all of the rides. Aquatica is another day (you could do more), Volcano Bay I absolutely love and could revisit lots of times, and then universal again I love not being pressured into running around and getting all of the rides done - this year we are doing 7 nights at universal with no other tickets, we will do other things while we are there and have pool time etc. but it will be nice just having chilled out park time. I don’t think you will get bored at all and then you can go back for a Disney trip another time!

In august 2019, we did these parks in a day and got on almost everything. We went back to sea world because we could and love the rides and also wanted to catch all the shows, but if you had just one day, as others have said, it's very feasible.
