Video making tips from those who do it.
I wondered if it would be good for those of us who have mage vids for a while give out some tips on one thread so people can come here and learn what they need.
My first tip would be think Story. You need to tell the story of your day. Particularly when starting on YouTube you only get 10 mins per video. Don’t spend half that time on your family playing around the villa pool. Your family will like that but viewers are more interested in your day as a whole.

I hope this thread gets some attention as I have been video editing at home since it first became possible.
I think I would offer a few tips if I may 1) when recording the video if possible don't pan too quickly and if possible use stabilisation. 2) keep titles simple 3) same with video transitions. I tend to use simple cross fades but that is my choice. I feel the best transition is possibly one you don't notice

This thread is cool!
We have only made one vlog to Kraków. It's okay but I realised my husband waffles a lot so I don't know how interesting it would be to anyone else! 😂 |

Do what makes you happy - if you are happy with it that is all that matters.
I've learnt a lot of the past couple of years with The GB Mickey Waffle podcast and YouTube channel that consistency is key. Especially with branding and putting your own stamp on it. From a practical point of view, I'd make sure that you have enough storage when filming. The best camera you can have is the one that you have with you. You don't need a fancy camera as most of the latest smartphones are great especially when you pair them with a gimbal.
