Think with the closure of the shops and rescheduled holidays there will be a surge in shopping of merchandise in the parks too. There are plenty of people who have holiday funds burning a hole in their pockets ..
There are still no opening dates for some hotels though. Best guess they will all be open by October 1st for the 50th but I have a sneaky suspicion that Disney won’t bring back DDP if they can fill up their hotels and get full whack for dining. Only time will tell I guess. The snack credit logos have been on the menus for all the festivals since park reopening so I don’t think it’s an indication it will be returning soon.

I think they will want to bring back the paid dining plan asap, its a real money maker for them as food is a cheap commodity. Also, most guests who buy the plan aren't savvy about how best to use the credits and even have loads left unused at the end of their stay. I don't expect free dining to be back for next year but potentially for 2023.

I agree can’t see it happening next year .Think it will be a wait and see what happens scenario. They may chuck something in to sweeten on-site guests probably just the resort refillable mugs but only when life is more stable and they are comfortable with the public helping themselves.
