Our outside PIR light has stopped working so i am replacing it with a none PIR.
So after turning off the power i have removed the old light , the wires to it are brown , black , yellow and green and a gray, the new light has a terminal box with brown , yellow and green and blue .
I wired brown to brown , yellow and green to yellow and green and the black to blue , leaving the gray to nothing but in a plastic block.
Switched power back on but the light was already on with the switch still in the off position. I then switched power off again and removed the black from the blue and replaced it with gray to blue, but this time no light at all.
Any ideas

Deleting everything leaving just one as it offers the most simple explanation
