Pickling onions?

I have just lifted my onions and am thinking bout pickling some.

I see you can buy pickling vinegar but not sure if this is the best method or is it better to use ordinary vinegar and add ingredients?

Any recommendations welcome😀

I use ordinary vinegar and pickling spice but havecused the vinegar in the past

We like ours quite spicy hot, so buy the pickling spices to add to vinegar and doible what they recommend.

A few dried chilles helps.
