We're thinking about a no parks trip for end of August/early Sept. It will be our first trip without the (now grown-up kids). Planning a few visits to Disney Springs and a trip to Universal CityWalk, a few nights on the Gulf Coast to do a boat ride and get some beach-time. Also considering Lake Louisa & Blue Springs as days out. Haven't done an airboat ride for a good few years so may give that another go

We spent a week in September last year at SSR without park tickets. We are DVC owners so it was cost effective for us. It was an incredibly hot week.

We drove out to Vero Beach for a day. We did a great airboat ride at WildFlorida, much better than the one we had done at Boggy Creek years ago. We spent a lot of time sitting by the pool to be honest which we have never done but it was too hot to do much.
We spent a day using Disney transport to visit the resorts, did several laps of Bay Lake whilst visiting Wilderness lodge!
Lovely walks around Kissimee and Celebration alligator spotting.

DIBB Villa Reviews: 1
Three years ago, we did a no parks trip and stayed on a beautiful Dibber’s villa in Rotunda. It was just lovely and so relaxing. The beaches were very quiet and vast. We actually used the BBQ three times and cooked some lovely fresh fish, which we had never done when staying in Orlando.

Myakka State Park is a lovely visit to see alligators and wildlife - only a small entrance fee.

Sounds perfect!

Like the sound of the BBQ by the pool.

We have booked flights into Fort Lauderdale and a few nights there near the beach. We have booked our first villa stay in Rotonda West.

Apart from a short stay at Universal, we are skipping parks this time. We have 2 children and we have booked a villa on the gulf coast for the majority and then going to the keys. Can't wait!
