50th anniversary of moon landings

I hope they're still doing events when we go in October. I guess it depends if they do a full year or just up to the actual anniversary.

This only occurred to me after I'd booked the flights etc. We return on 18th July

I'd assume they'll make a big deal of it on the 20th. Hmmm, thinking out loud, I wonder if Buzz or any of the other "moon walkers" will be at KSC on the day? It's always been an ambition of mine to meet and shake hands with someone who has walked on the moon.

I'm sure there's a load of stuff going on around, but as far as I can see, the main thing at KSC is VERY limited as far as tickets are involved, with tickets just for diamond and platinum members, at a minimum of $2500

Lol! I saw a documentary some years ago regarding the whole conspiracy theory. There was one statement that summed it all up for me and completely demolished any argument about it being faked. Everything was very closely monitored by Russia, obviously. If they had never landed on the moon the Russians would have been the first to question it
