I have done a couple of trip reports for Anna Maria. Link for the second is below, the first is within that report. We are doing East Coast this summer and although I know we will have a great time, I can't help but feel sad we aren't going back!

We went to see the Tampa Rays when we were there with DS3 who was 14 at the time. I am not a massive sports fan but the atmosphere was great and we all really enjoyed it. Very family friendly. Depends on your 3 year old and if they would enjoy it.

If you like markets where the locals shop then try Red Barn at Bradenton.
