Skipper Canteen vs Teppan Edo
What would you choose and why?

Teppan Edo.
Really wasn't that impressed with Skipper's Canteen. Mediocre meal, fairly noisy atmosphere. Its essentially the same meal you can get just about anywhere with some cool scenery on the walls, and a Jungle Cruise back story tying it all together. The best thing about Skipper's is its location not too far from the MK hub. Teppan Edo is an above average meal (by today's WDW standards), prepared in a semi-unique more intimate manner. The opposite of Skipper's, Teppan Edo requires a walk to the back of the world showcase (not the worst thing to 'have' to do ) or an entrance at the International Gateway. |

Skipper Canteen, although it's reasonably low on my list of restaurants when looking at the property as a whole. Forced to choose between these two, it wins though.
I just don't like the Teppan Edo environment (many love it) and find the food a bit boring. But then I'm also not a fan of noodles served with chunks of meat - don't like Ohana for the same reason. Edited at 05:42 PM. |

Teppan Edo, we love it, it's our favourite. We really enjoy the food and our boys love watching the show cooking

Teppan Edo for reasons already mentioned really. Pretty standard food at Skipper Canteen but good fun at TE and I have always enjoyed the food and excellent service.

I haven't been to Teppan Edo as I don't like noodles. Also am allergic to sea food and mushrooms so not much choice for me. I love Jungle Skipper canteen though as there is a decent choice. Also it was so peaceful when I was there (lunch twice), just the break I needed.

Another who'se not been to Teppan Edo but I wanted to give a shout out for Skipper canteen. On a hot busy day in MK park we got a table in the back room which was quiet and peaceful, we had lovely service, really lovely, and overall a great meal. We're going again next trip too

It was my favourite restaurant of my trip a few months ago. I booked one ADR and enjoyed the meal so much I booked another one for a few days later When I arrived for my first meal, when the greeter blokey took me to my table I told him how much I'd loved the Adventurers Club on Pleasure Island and was sorry it had gone. He then showed me around the restaurant, pointing out pictures and objects that had been in the AC. It was fun

We've eaten at Teppen Edo several time and Skipper just once and really enjoyed both, tough choice! I think for me Teppen Edo would win if it was between the 2 as it's just such a different experience to other WDW restaurants
There's not wrong choice imo!
