I think the question is confusing.
By “live” are you referring to Tv that is recorded and broadcast simultaneously, as you are watching it it is live, or are you referring to “live tv” as the main stream channels 1,2,3,4,5.

I assumed the OP was referring to the type of TV that requires you to have a TV licence. That is, how much time do you spend watching programmes on a TV, computer or other device as they are broadcast, usually on the mainstream channels but also includes 'satellite' channels such as Sky 1, Sky 2, etc. Not "live TV" in the sense that the events are happening at the same time that they are being seen on the TV.

We tend to switch the telly on just before 7pm and watch stuff (usually on BBC, sometimes Pick, Dave, Channel 5 and a few others) until just after 10pm when I watch the news headlines and then switch off.

i read it as watching tv as it is broadcast.

i've not watched live tv in years, up until 3 1/2 years ago i had a virgin box/tivo which would record some stuff for me, but since we moved, i don't even have that. we have a freeview tuner in the tv that never gets used (last time was NYE 2016 for jools holand)

i watch pretty much everything through my firetv box. a combination of kodi (most things), netflix, amazon prime video and the on-demand tv player apps (mostly iplayer and uktv play though)

if anything gets watched live, it would be only connect, and even then we usually watch it later in the evening

the only time i ever watch "live" is when i go to my mums, and then its usually just DDD because theres nothing else on tv.

Fair point

I guess I meant watching TV channels as they hit the home (rather than being recorded for watching later or something which is streamed)

I think most people understood the term as intended though

I mostly just watch the news at time of broadcast, in the morning and at 6pm. The rest is all pre-recorded.

DH tends to flick channels a lot so he watches more live tv than I do, he also watches football live and Match of the Day on the weekend and some news each day. I rarely watch live tv, tend to have Pointless on while eating tea, and I do watch some football with DH. Other than that, I never watch live tv. I only put the tv on late evening and watch prerecorded shows on Sky or BBC etc. I also love that I can fast forward the adverts now 😂

We have had 6 months free Netflix but I’m finding I don’t really know what to watch on there, so we haven’t used it as much as I thought we would, I’m pondering whether to cancel next month after the free period ends.

During the week never as I work a late shift
A little at weekend but more usually via catch up.
I've flirted with Netflix over the years and have it as part of my Sky package now as at £5 it's the cheapest way to get the full version . I have all the Sky packages but probably wouldn't if I had to pay for them. The older I get the more selective I am about what I watch.
Sport is about the only think that is watched live in the house but that's not me !
