Flights only go direct 3 days a week - I think it's Friday, Sunday and Tuesday. It's a new route for Virgin from later this year and TC appear to have followed suit and reduced the days they fly direct.

Finally booked! 17/07-07/08 LHR-DUB-SFO SFO-LHR including VW Jetta or similar for 3 weeks, 3 adults & 1 youth for £712pp. Booked through BA Holidays.
I was really beginning to panic as the ‘sale’ prices were going up and up but had a quick look this afternoon and if I changed the outgoing flight to via Dublin it took the price down to what I was happy paying. If you take the cost of the car off the flights work out at about £520pp inc Luggage so very happy with that

That seems a good price to me, well done! I'm still searching for reasonably priced flights for my dates (09/08 - 25/08).

Manchester any good for you? I booked Man-LAX direct last week (comment on this thread). Looks like the direct flights have gone up a lot now but still OK price direct out and one short stop on return.

For anybody looking for the end of school holidays, Skyscanner are showing great prices from LHR to SFO Aug 20th-Sep 3rd, £255 indirect and £321 direct.
For LAX prices are £326 for direct there and 1 stop return with BA.

Unfortunately not, we're based in the south. BA prices seem to jump up and down a lot so still hoping to get a good deal with them.
