I love strictly and I apply for tickets every year. One year, we even booked a trip to London on the off chance we would get the tickets, but we never had.

I met someone last year who said his daughter and her daughter had been lucky and had gone down to London on the Friday night. They barely had any time in their Travelodge in the Elstree area and were up at the crack of dawn, queuing from 7am or some such time, finally getting into the studio after 3pm.

I am fully aware that they give out more tickets than they have seats for, to ensure a full audience. I have also queued at the BBC here in Glasgow for an hour or two for Mrs Browns boys, but I think the carry on for the strictly audience is too much. Obviously, it's someone's choice whether to join a queue at 7am, but I don't think the BBC is handling this well, allowing folk to queue in the cold and dark for an entire day. I've no idea whether food and toilet facilities are available either while queuing or once admitted to the studio. They should just give out the correct number of tickets and give you a time to arrive.

I’ve watched it every single series, as I prefer it to X factor and love dancing . However I have applied for tickets every single year and not got one...but a work colleague has been twice.

I can’t be greedy though as I got Wimbledon tix the very first time I tried last year...

DD and her friend have a Strictly blog that’s been going for ages and she has been on the radio fairly frequently talking about it. She has been to the show a couple of times and even met Brendan Cole on the Tube.
