iphone storage

I keep getting messages on my iPhone that my storage is full but when I go into settings it shows that I have 8.4 GB or 16 used. I've used Google Photos to save all my photos and videos and deleted all the aps I don't use but it makes no difference! I've also checked out my iCloud account and it shows 596MB used of 5GB free! I asked at the Vodaphone store to see if they could help but they just said I needed to buy more iCloud space! I've got no idea what to do next and I really want my phone at its best when I go to WDW next year. Anyone got any advice please?

It sounds like your iCloud storage is full. This is different from your phone storage. Its Apples backup system.

As I also use google photos to automatically back up my photos I don�t use iCloud for my photos. You can go into settings and set which apps should be included in your backups.

I had the same thing last week - My 'deleted' items was filling it up (I never knew I had a deleted items folder).

Settings
General
Iphone Storage
Photos (or similar)
Clear deleted items...

Something like that - anyway.
