I’m pencilled in for June next year, so will start looking a flights from May as I plan to use my Avios points to upgrade to Cattle class plus or higher.
I’m trying to convince some of my mates to come, telling them Japan isn’t dear if you do your research. If I end up going solo, it would be great to meet any of you that maybe there next June |

Hope at least one of your friends agree to go but if you end up going yourself you can do exactly what you want and not have to compromise.
We will be there in May. |

Thank you. Have you flown with them before? Or know what they are like?

if its any help we paid just under 2k for 2A 2C but then an extra 115 for seat booking (wasnt mandatory). This was KLM from Manchester going out via amsterdam (1.5hr connection) into Narita and back with air france from haneda to CDG (1.5 hr connection) back to manchester. I took this route as we land in tokyo at 9AM and take off from Haneda at 18.40 so reasonable flights.

Thanks. Free to book seats - that is a bonus. I remember the good old days when it was free (well included in the price ) to book seats, take luggage and even throw in a sandwich and drink (short haul for the sandwich!)

So I've just booked too! Very excited - decided to fly into and out of Tokyo in the end as this worked out best. Now need to decide what to do in between the flights!

Just to update that our son and his fiancée just returned today. Had 18 wonderful days in Japan, said it was the best experience ever.
Their flights were outstanding, they flew from Heathrow with Lufthansa to Germany then Ana to Japan. Home was Ana to Zurich Switzerland then Swiss Air to London City Airport. Every flight was on time and all connections were smooth. They are now on a Megabus making a very long journey home to Wales, very tired but very happy 😀 |
