Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote
Hi.
We are now 2 weeks into using SkyQ and think it's great. We have the main box and 2 x mini ones so thats the downstairs catered for. However my Wife wants 1 of the bedroom TV's also sorted (ours). I am debating about the Amazon firestick as it's down to £24.99 in the BT Shop. As we have Prime am I right in saying that's all I need and there are no subscriptions to pay please? For the odd ocassion it's used seems silly to pay £69 for another SkyQ mini.

Hi Mr TM
If your bedroom TV is a smart tv (ie can connect to T'internet) and you already have Amazon Prime then you dont need the Firestick, you just access your Amazon Prime through the app This is exactly what I setup in our spare room for when our grown-up kids come to stay No extra fees or subs

Ahh, that makes sense. I will give it a go. However I don't know if it's a smart TV as I inherited it from my late Mum so it's maybe 5 years old.Thank you.
Edit. Just checked, no it's not a Smart tv sadly.

I used to connect via a Firestick so that will work as long as you are within WiFi range
Just trying to save you some Florida spends

Thank you. I will mull it over as the firestick is on sale until Friday so I have 48 hours to decide.

Back to your question, generally nothing more to pay but some content and box sets often have a charge.

We’ve found quite a lot require extra payment. More than I expected.
It is good for all the free channels like bbc itv etc. And you get all the catchup Edited at 07:22 PM. |

Sorry to but in, I got one for Christmas. So we have a smart TV with Sky, Prime and Netflix so it's of no use ?( would it be any good if I decided to ditch sky? ).
In one of the bedrooms we have a TV just for the X Box so it would be useful there but I would only get free view? is that correct. Thanks

I know I can buy more but not about free ones.
