AP process and worth it?

We are off to DLP this weekend - we have also planned to head back in Feb half term.. so now we have embarked on the AP conversation again!

Those who have APs - worthwhile? Do you genuinely get good room rates in the DLP hotels to make the saving effective?

Also - are you still able to "upgrade" your park tickets to APs when in park or is this for the French visitors only? Or am I about 20 years out of date with my question

I think we had discussed buying 2x magic Plus APs and then the kids would be the discounted tickets you can buy for the trips - is this what people do?

We have been pass holders for 3 yrs, generally stay off site but have had some good room only deals with the passes in the past. Last year we paid just shy of €400 for 3 nights Easter bank holiday weekend at the Cheyenne, I was quite happy with that given the time of year.
We have the infinity works out best for us, good discounts in stores and food and as we normally stay off site free priority parking and the photopass too. The priority entrance (you get this with magic + too) has been very helpfull at times as we always have to go school hols cause of DH job.
I don't think you can use the package tickets to upgrade to annual pass ( someone will correct if I'm wrong) but you can buy the one day ticket at gate and have that taken of the cost when you go to the annual pass office.
I took my mum once stayed off site and brought her tickets for the 3 days with the discount no problems
The only thing we haven't done yet is the priority viewing with the infinity pass just never got round to it.
Hope that helps a little

Thanks so much. I thought that may be the situation with the package tickets, but then a 1 day/1 park ticket is £69 so taking that off the price (or splitting how you pay it I suppose) is simple.
Can you just walk up to the AP window to do it? Presume you would need ID etc...

Just so you know, you can only buy so many of the discounted tickets per pass per week - it's either 3 or 5, I can't remember - and there is a limit to how many of these you can have in a year (I think Magic Plus is 10). If you have more than two children and you're there for four/five days you might struggle to use this method.

You might want to factor in how many days you'll be in the park over the course of the year too. At 45 euros per discounted ticket, you only need to go over 6 days in the parks and you'd be better off with another Magic Plus pass. You also may be able to get someone to sponsor you which would get you money off the annual passes.

We've got one Infinity pass and one Magic Plus. The Infinity pass gets 20% off in the shops, 15% off restaurants and a bigger hotel discount so it worked out better overall for us - I think I've made the money back in Pandora charms! As an example of hotel discounts, we stayed for three nights in Sequoia Lodge in a lakeside room the week before Christmas for 500 euros.

Hope some of that helped!
