Thanks guys. This thread is giving me loads of ideas. It Looks like we will easily be able to fill 7 days at universal. Now to decide if we should do MNSSHP too.

We like to use this type of attraction to catch our breath and grab some time in the shade. We love the shows at WDW (Laughter Floor, Fantasmic, Tough to be a Bug, Indiana Jones etc.)

Don't question the Tiki Tiki Tiki Rooms!
Sorry, I know I couldn't resist!

Regarding MNSSHP - if you can afford to, then it is a really good night out. We've done it a couple of times and really enjoyed both.

Character lines are long however, so if you have kids (or adults!) who will want pictures with the characters then try and pick and choose in advance who you want to get and do those early - a lot of the character lines will be longer than the rides for most of the night.

We loved the more laid back pace, walk on rides, fireworks and parade was excellent. Plus the ridiculous amounts of sweets you collect keeps you going for days

A few people on here are recommending The Blue Man Group. I can honestly say that it was the worst thing I've ever done in Orlando, I felt I'd been mugged when I left. It was boring, monotonous and totally unfunny. Once you've seen 5 minutes of some blue bloke banging a drum and seeing a few paint splashes you're pretty much done. Nobody in our group of 12 liked it (all ages 12 -60). We all said "If there was an interval I wouldn't have watched the 2nd act".

I'm going back to Orlando in 4 weeks and will be avoiding like the plague

Have to say BMG has never appealed to me in the slightest, maybe because I find banging drums just loud and annoying lol. But some people seem to love the show!

Yes they do and I think I'm in the minority on this, loads of people in the audience were howling with laughter, we just looked at each other wondering what was the funny bit? Each to their own I suppose.
