By 'best' one do you mean cheapest? I'm with Aviva. A doctor at my surgery recommended them to me and they're great, so helpful with any queries that I have. They're not the cheapest but with my medical conditions I'd rather have peace of mind and know that I'm getting the correct cover for my needs.

Might be worth getting a quote from Boots as they have indepth screening which depending on the medical conditions can help with overall quote. I'm not over 70 (52) but quite a few current and past conditions and they came out best overall for annual cover. In the end I just took a single trip policy as last minute trip to join my Mum in Tenerife for 10 days and only other holiday planning this year is in UK.

We're both 72 and both post-cancer with sundry minor PEMCs and Boots Platinum was best for us.

I compared 5 or 6 companies in both May 17 and May 18 and Boots best both times. Please take care though to check level of cover and excesses before going further. Boots had no excesses on any claim item and their level of cover higher than many "so-called" cancer insurance specialists.

We’ve gone with ok to travel . Most of them didnt offer end supply failure which we needed . This covers everything ( and she has quite a bit !) so I’m happy . I Was shocked that someone wanted nearly £800 and didnt provide sufficient cover either .
