Which car?

There are four of us this year, all adults. Normally we use Car on the drive but the prices are coming in a bit steep, especially with the exchange rate at the moment.
My husband is still saying it�s the best option as we will have four medium suitcases and possibly an extra one coming back plus hand luggage,so he�s saying we would struggle fitting the cases into the boot of a hire car. Any suggestions on what type of car would fit up to five cases?

Personally a Standard SUV ,I totally understand COD for drinking on plane or first time users.
But cost wise Uber from airport and Uber to DCCC and drink to hearts content and save a shed load of cash.
As always personal choice.

Standard SUV . There were 4 adults and a teenager on our last family trip. So 5 standard size suitcases and 5 smaller cabin bags . It was a 7 seater SUV so we folded the rear two and had sufficient room .

Thanks for the replies. Husband has gone for Car on the Drive, suppose as he is the only driver it�s really his choice.
They do offer a great service all be it at a price, maybe next year for normal car hire from the airport
