Avis/BA Car Hire - additional driver help

Hi

My partner and I have booked a short break to Orlando for the end of the month. I have booked through BA holidays and a car through Avis. I usually use Alamo but the price was too good to ignore.

Now my partner and I are both BA executive club members and I am an Avis preferred member but I cannot see anywhere on the booking or vouchers I have printed anything about a free additional driver. The bookings are linked.

Can anybody let me know of this is normal and we show both our driving licenses at the Avis garage at Orlando airport. Or do I assume its automatic but I cant believe that I don't show any paperwork for my partner.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

If you wanted an extra driver with BA executive club I believe you would show your BA exec card and both licences but as it's your partner they will probably be covered by Avis' free spouse policy and they won't even want to see their licence.

I don't know about the BA part of it but we always go with AVIS (preferred customers) and as a spouse I only ever had to show my licence yet there is nothing on any of our paperwork to say I'm one of the drivers

I think we just show both driving licences at the kiosk and we are both covered.
