Mobile Avis car hire and Disney parking

Sorry for two questions, booked flight and car via BA. Car is with Avis and said on BA Fully Inclusive Insurance. Is that all we need. I know they usually try and sell you extra insurance but not sure we need it.

Also as we have the car and the hotel shuttles look to be first come first served (offsite hotel) what’s the daily cost to park at the parks and can we leave and come back later with the same parking ticket or would we need to pay again.

Disney parking is $25 a day (water parks are free). Yes, you can leave and come back on the same day. You can also use the same pass in different Disney parks on the same day.

BA fly drives include all insurances you need so you don’t need any extra. We’ve never had anyone try to sell us any extra. We do Avis preferred so we don’t have to go to the counter anyway, straight to the garage.

I believe it’s $25 a day to park at Disney parks, well it was when we were there in August. You can leave & come back to a different park with the same receipt and not pay again 😄

As already mentioned, no need for any additional insurances, We have used the BA flydrive 6 times in the last few years, its a great deal...!

Join the avios program and also the avis preferred, you will get additional driver for free and also not need to wait at the car rental counter, its definetly worth it...!

We are back out in June, went for the Suburban this time, we need the extra luggage space this time

Hpe you enjoy your holiday

No you don’t pay for preferred. It’s the Avis loyalty scheme. You can sign up on their website & then contact them to link your BA booking to your account. Your name gets put on a board in the car hire garage and tells you the bay where your car will be so you literally just go straight to the bay, bypassing the desk. We got lucky last year as our bay was empty as someone swapped the car and we went to the small kiosk inside the garage and were given a free upgrade to a Suburban, my husband was a happy man!

Just reiterating what's been said re BA/Avis bookings.

I joined Avis Preferred following advice on here and it was fab. Straight down to the garage and while my name wasn't on the board, there was no queue at the kiosk within the garage so it was super quick getting the car and zero "hard sell". We had a fab Ford Edge and the drop off was really easy too.

We couldn't fault it and while we haven't booked our flights with BA this year, we have booked their car hire on its own as we were so impressed with the Avis Preferred process and they were so much cheaper than anyone else.

You will need to go to the kiosk the very first time you rent as Preferred. After that your name should be on the board. It’s still quicker at the kiosk than waiting in the regular queue
