Early car return

Is it correct that Alamo charge $15 for taking your car back early (as in a day)? If so, is there tax on top?

If its more than 24 hours then a �15 fee + tax is usually applied.

This would be better in the Car hire & transportation section

OP. The early return penalty tends to be aimed at US renters who are taking advantage of 'rental specials' where for example a 5 day hire is cheaper per day than a 4 day hire etc.
Thus they will penalise for an early return.

As the bulk of our rentals are pre paid or pay on arrival the penalty tends to not be applied albeit they are quite within their rights to do so.

Thanks Tom. I mistakenly booked one day too many (crazy time this end in my defense

) but when I looked at simply changing the dates of the rental to what it actually should be the prices have gone up so I�ll just take it back - although it will be under 24 hrs so may be ok 😉. Thanks for your responses 👍
