Thank you all, we've put a plan in place for next week so that one of us can always be around, sadly for her she'll be living in the kitchen diner but fortunately it has it's own way out to the garden and our male can use the patio doors so they're outside separately.
DH will be working from home on the days I'm working full days so he'll be able to spend some time on calls / laptop from the kitchen so she has attention. We've only had her a week (rescue 10 month old) and she was booked in on Friday to be spayed, we really thought we'd got on top of this, she clearly had other ideas!

Wonder if it's like humans where emotional stress can disrupt periods!
She has had several massive life changes plus a handsome new companion to impress Hope they are getting on well together Would love to see some more photos I'm not on Intragram |

Please also remember when your bitch is in season every dog in the area will know & she will be looking to get out & mate so don't leave her alone in the garden. Your & BOTH your dogs are in for a rough time if you have them in the house together even if in different rooms! Yes it can be the whole season she is fertile not just the central period..

All bitches can differ, we had a hell of a job trying to mate ours, we had blood tests at the vets to get it dead right, started the tests on 10 days and she didn’t peak until 24 days!

Laughing at this we had years of high dog gates in doors dogs going to work with me separate doors out side etc
Our biggest issue was always the boys not eating or in one case one of our Visla boys going right through a glass door ( it was an old house and safety glass wasn't a thing ) or one of our girls literally being a right bitch for 10 days she'd have killed the boys if they looked at her Them 7/8 days when she was a complete slack Alice and not give them peace |

Of course, you could always let them get it on and have a litter! Not responsible ownership, but what lovely pups they would be!
Failing that idea, try to keep them apart for three weeks! Even long after the bleeding, males seem to still have the urge to mount her! Don’t walk her outside, again local makes will follow her back to the house!
