Ghirardelli, no more free chocolate

No, why we loved to pick up a free chocolate.

A long standing tradition for many Disney Springs visitors has come to an end - getting that free Ghirardelli sample as you enter the Marketplace store.

The change has been introduced across all of the Ghirardelli stores, and has come to the Disney Springs location during the past few weeks.

It may be possible to request a sample, but don't expect to see a greeter at the door any longer with the basket of samples in-hand.
Thanks to wdwmagic for info

We got home last week, one day they were still doing the freebies and the next they'd stopped. It must have cost them a fortune over the years, but then only by trying the free samples years ago did we start buying every year. Our wee peppermint bark stash this year.

It always looked like they gave away more, then what people were buying.

We stopped getting them a few trips ago as our Son was no longer with us.

My Wife never wants hers and I'm ambivalent.

However I see on WDW Magic threads somebody said they weren't giving them out at the Food and Wine pavillion. That is incorrect as we saw them being handed out.

I could never understand why they did it as how many people are influenced to buy some due to a freebie? Less than 1% I guess.
We only buy in November as the kids want bags for Xmas and it's a cooler time to bring them home.

Looks like a great stash. Did you get any of these?

You may also like Peppermint Bark ice cream!

DFB Guide says you can ask any cast member for a free sample and you'll get to choose the flavour as well. Better than a random flavour IMO!

Our 3 white bags were filled to the brim with the snowmen..they had an offer on that you could fill a bag with snowmen for only $10 for a certain spend, but this was reduced to only $5 in January..all my years of filling boxes with Mr Potato head paid off!Everything we bought was reduced to half price.

They weren't giving them out in the Food and Wine Pavillion when I was there in September. It seems like sometimes they did, sometimes they didn't.

If you ask for a sample they will still get you free chocolate. Saw that on a vlog the other day.
