Totally agree with Greyfriars, went with Dollar once because of the price but it was reflected in the car i was given, high mileage and damaged bodywork which i complained about, horrendous.
Budget were actually very good but only one person on the desk at SFB made for a lengthy queue.
Alamo are always very efficient and have the best fleet in my opinion but the can sometimes be more expensive than the others.

Alamo everytime. Usually cheaper and skip queue and select own car seals the deal for me.

I like the sound of the car on the drive idea but their pricing is ludicrously expensive if they ever brought their prices in line with the reality of what the others charge we would use them without a doubt

I don't use car on the drive but feel your comments are unfair. They do not just hire cars they provide a personal service, transport you to and from the airport, you can hire a smaller car as the luggage run is in the coach. They also provide insurance for young drivers at no extra cost.
It's like comparing a meal at BOG with the Golden Corral! :-)

I honestly don't mind, usually go with the least expensive. Alamo were the only we had major trouble with after a horrific RTA which we were not the guilty party. The car was a write-off and they refused to replace it. It wasn't until the Chief of Police in the area of said RTA intervened and demanded action that we were given a replacement!
