As the OIP found, pate is not common in the US. I think of it as only eaten by "gourmets" in this country and by your average Joe.

Also my experience has been liverwurst is a deli meat, not something in a can.

I don't know where one would find it in Florida (Miami maybe) but you can get chopped liver in a good Jewish deli, again not packaged but by the pound.

I hope the OP had a lovely time and enjoyed her nibbles by the pool. I suspect the American version is chips, dips and wings.

I do make my own sourdough bread at home but in Florida I buy it in
Winne Dixie
It’s easier to make than normal bread and way less sugar than most

I've bought it in Walmart, I was buying it in Tesco but they seem to have stopped selling it now. Mind you I'm supposed to be low carbing and not eating any bread of any description.
