Pre Travel day

Hi all

Apologies for the delay, i've had a really hectic time at work recently so only managed to get round to this now.

So without further ado...

Pre-travel day-Tuesday 16th October

We had cereal for breakfast in our flat before popping out to do a couple of things in town.

On the way home we went to Morrisons to grab lunch. After we'd done this we went home and then back out to board our coach from Brighton-Heathrow.
This left at 12:37 and we tucked into lunch pretty much immediately.

Photos of my food are lacking here, but I had a chicken triple(chicken, bacon, salad and chicken & sweetcorn and chicken & stuffing) with a lemon and lime Volvic.

Arron got a water, chicken salad sandwich and fruit pot.

On the journey we ate my meal deal gingerbread man and some M & Ms.

The M & Ms were a bit like Daim bar and Arron wasn't a huge fan so he ate more of the gingerbread man.

This was £7 for 2 meal deals and the sweets.

We got to Heathrow at 2:45 and went upto our room for a little while.
There were 2 teabags so we used these and watched some TV.

We hopped over to Terminal 3 for a little wander and to suss out the area for the next morning. But our dinner reservation was 6:30 so we were back before that.

Thyme

As I said, we had reserved for 6:30 so we got seated and we ordered drinks. I got a Pepsi max and Arron got a Bud light.

Then Arron ordered a starter, he picked the prawn cocktail. It is his favourite.

The prawns were fresh and really good and the bread was a nice addition. Arron really enjoyed it.

For mains I ordered from the Tastes of Asia menu, I got the Tandoori spiced mixed grill which should have included:chicken breast, lamb kofta, pork sausage, sweet potato bhaji, rice, poppadom and accompaniments. They had run out of sausage so I requested an extra kofta instead.

I was super impressed as everything was well cooked and seasoned. The bhajis were tasty and there was loads of fod!

Arron ordered the Seabass en papillote which was seabass with potatoes and tomatoes in paper, with a greek salad.

Just like my main, this was nicely cooked and the fish was really fresh too. Arron loved it and helped with my main a bit too!

And I was always having a dessert, so I chose the chocolate cherry crownie.

This was quite rich, but the cherry cut through the richness. We kind of shared this between us and easily finished it all.

When we checked in I paid £52.96 for the meal deal, so these meals were already paid for.

We enjoyed Thyme a lot and felt it was great value too.

On the way back to our room we stopped at Costa.

Arron ordered the Bonfire spiced hot chocolate for £2.95. He liked the spiced flavour but it along with dinner made him feel a bit sick!
