AND A DIET COKE PLEASE. I DON'T WANT TO GET FAT. THE FOOD REPORT. MAY 2015(kids meals included)

Welcome to my second food report! I'm hoping that this is a little better than my first effort from way back in 2012 which didn't quite fit in with my expectations of literary brilliance.
This time we are staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. There are some new places for us included in this report and some places we visited last time. Also included will be the same stock standard photos that are included in every food report (you know the ones, broccoli and noodles at Ohana.) We are on the dining plan for 17 nights so this is mainly an on-site food report but there are going to be a few offsite eats included in this as well. This intro is being written pre trip so who knows how different this will actually turn out to be. The astute of you can come back after its written and point out all the differences. We also have a big shop at Walmart which I'm including in this as well. This is being written alongside my trip report which can be found by clicking the link The Crazy Old Maurice May 2015 Trip Report Index

THATS ALL FOLKS-Summing up

As I'm writing this opening before we go I'm not sure about the majority of our c/s credits but I will include them all. I'm sure it will include Wolfgang Puck Express and Earl Of Sandwich and all the usual suspects.

Ditto above for snack credits. We have 17 each so there will be a long list and photos of all the snacks.

We are staying a night at the Hard Rock Hotel so there will be a an evening meal at Citywalk to be included as well. Seaworld, Busch Gardens and food mall eats and treats as well. So this should be a monster food report.

So its the 9th May as I'm writing this and the post Twilight check in meal. More to follow when I get back at the end of May.

Post Twilight Check In Meal. The Air Balloon(Horley near Gatwick).

I was hoping I'd be starting this food report with a positive report but afraid not! After Twilight check in we made plans to stop here. We've been here before and its always ok. Its cheap and cheerful and has a pretty varied, wide menu. Fine dining it isn't though.

It was pretty busy being early saturday evening.

Den and Marian both started with the garlic mushrooms which seemed ok.

Kelly and I shared the pulled pork nachos. These were ok but the cheese sauce and pork seemed to be concentrated in only one place!

The girls had garlic bread. No picture needed really.

For mains Lily had the kids roast. She chose chicken and enjoyed it.

Evie Mae had kids hot dog, chips and crunch veg. The hot dog was ok, fries and veg bad.

I didn't fancy anything too american so went for sausage and mash with yorkshire puddings and peas. It was poor. Mash tasted like smash and the yorkshire were like Auntie Bessies. Pretty disappointed.

Kelly had the Double Chicken Waffle burger. She enjoyed it. It looked vile.

Den had the cottage pie. It looked grim. To be honest we didn't ask him as he was getting the silent treatment for complaing to the staff about the time it was taking.(it was slow but not that bad.)

Marian had the Chicken New Yorker which she liked.

No deserts as we thought we'd wait until we get to the US!

So pretty average overall, but like I said its cheap and cheerful.

Thats all for now. Back again at the end of May!

Love the title - I always drink diet coke as I prefer the taste but always blush a little when I order it with a big meal!

I look forward to seeing what delicious meals you have on your hols!
