I originally outlined a fortnight plan, 5 nights in Shanghai city centre, 1 night on an overnight sleeper to Xi'an, 2 nights in Xi'an with bullet train to Beijing for a final 5 nights and then flight back to Shanghai to catch the UK return.

The flights I managed to get were from Sat 15th July arrive Shanghai via HKG to 31st July departing Beijing via HKG. This means I don't need to take the internal flight back to Shanghai to catch my UK return, so I've ended up with 2 extra nights which we are now definitely spending in Shanghai Disney. Really looking forward to it now!

Now wishing upon... a countdown

How interesting! I think I have a cunning plan for a Disney fix whilst seeing the world when the children are a bit older!
